❃ The Pacific barreleye fish (Macropinna microstoma) is one of the deep ocean's most extraordinary inhabitants, famous for its transparent, fluid-filled head. Found in the North Pacific Ocean, this unusual fish lives hundreds of meters beneath the surface, where sunlight barely penetrates. Through its clear dome, two bright green, barrel-shaped eyes are visible, giving the barreleye an appearance unlike almost any other fish.

❃ Those remarkable eyes are specially adapted for detecting faint light in the deep sea. The green pigments within them may help filter out sunlight from above, allowing the fish to detect the silhouettes or bioluminescent glow of potential prey. Although its eyes were once thought to remain permanently fixed upward, researchers discovered that they can rotate forward, allowing the barreleye to look ahead while feeding.

❃ Pacific barreleyes have another unusual feature: the two small, dark spots on the front of the face aren't actually eyes, but sensory organs used for detecting odors. Their broad, nearly transparent fins help them hover steadily in the water while scanning for food, including small crustaceans and other drifting animals. With its see-through head and rotating eyes, the Pacific barreleye is a remarkable example of how life has adapted to the ocean's dimly lit depths.

3. Let it breathe. Most plush regain their full shape within 1–3 days, while larger or denser designs can take up to a week.

4. Smooth any flattened or creased fur with your fingers or a soft brush as it fluffs back up.

5. Want to speed things up? Use a hairdryer on low, warm heat, held about 20cm away. Keep it moving and use short bursts between fluffs. Never use high heat.
