❃ After a century of discovering the Allosaurus and its fossils, researchers saw a near-complete fossil specimen they called the "Big Al." Because of infections and fractures, however, the specimen didn't last very long.
❃ The Allosaurus was believed to have come to blows with the Stegosaurus after evidence suggest that both dinosaurs have wounds—a Stegosaurus' tail spike and an Allosaurus' bite mark—from opposite species.
❃ They only lived to about 25 years old. It reached adulthood at 15. At that point, it was no longer a victim of predation from other Allosaurus adults or other carnivorous dinosaurs. The different lizard, huh? There are more different things to learn from them in our Allosaurus blog here!
